We Give!
At the Bridge, we give! We believe that we serve our way to greatness. We also understand that we are to be the hands and feet of Jesus so that our community can feel the love of Jesus.
In 2018, we hosted a variety of City Love outreach events and opportunities. Across the year, we volunteered and served in a multitude of ways, including:
Creating 100 handcrafted Valentine Day cards and collecting 100 canned goods.
Serving breakfast at Central Union Mission to over 200 homeless men.
Street teams to invite people in Downtown Silver Spring to our Easter Worship Experience, which had 476 people attend over 2 worship experiences.
Volunteered at A Wider Circle, sorting clothes, distributing furniture items and cleaning.
Served breakfast at So Others Might Eat to over 300 homeless individuals.
Handed out 500 bottles of water to community in Downtown Silver Spring metro.
Hosted a City Love Anniversary Edition where 50+ volunteers served across 6 locations on September 16.
Handed out 200 hats, 200 gloves, 200 pairs of socks, toiletries, soap, hot chocolate and water.
Served breakfast at Loaves and Fishes to 300 homeless.
Collected over 30 backpacks and school supplies for Takoma Park Middle School.
Ministry Partnerships
The Bridge is a member of the ARC (Association of Relational Churches). Through the ARC, our giving supports the launching new churches all across the country! In 2018, 76 new churches were launched by the support of ARC members! We are excited to be a part of what God is doing through this organization to reach more people for Jesus!
In the past, we have led two mission trips to Haiti, partnering with a faith-based nonprofit called One Child. Several of our members decided to sponsor children in a village in Haiti. In 2018, our members continued to sponsor children, totaling $9800 in sponsorship giving to ensure these children continue to have their physical and spiritual needs met.
