Core Beliefs

 

SCRIPTURE

We believe that all of Scripture is the inspired Word of God and was written by men moved by the Holy Spirit. (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21). It is the final authority for living as a follower of Christ.

GOD

We believe God is one being that exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. In order to redeem mankind, Jesus Christ came to earth as fully God and fully man and paid the penalty for our sins. He will return to establish His eternal kingdom rule with His people (John 1:1-2; Acts 1:11; Matthew 3:16-17, 28:19; 1 Timothy 2:5, 6:15-16; 2 Timothy 2:12).

MANKIND

We believe that God created man in His image and to have fellowship with him. Due to man’s disobedience, they became separated from God and in need of redemption (Genesis 1:27; Romans 5:12).

SALVATION

Salvation is the work of God in which he justifies, sanctifies, and glorifies us. We are justified by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. The blood that Jesus shed on the cross is our only means for forgiveness. By believing in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ as the substitute for our sins, we are saved from eternal damnation (Romans 5:1-2; 5:7-8; 10:9).

CHURCH

We believe that the church is the global body of believers who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ as their Savior. Scripture teaches that Jesus Christ is the head of the church (Ephesians 5:23, 30; Colossians 1:24)
