July Series: Look & See

Have you ever been confident about something (like, really confident) only to find out later that you were really wrong? It happens! We're all bound to get things wrong once in a while, but when our eyes are opened to the truth, what matters is that we change our minds. But when it comes to Jesus, it's not always easy to know what the truth is or how to share that truth with others. What do we do with all of the big questions that hard to answer? Is Jesus still trustworthy even when His followers mess up or life gets hard?

In this 4-week series, God invites us to look, and then see, that Jesus is someone we can believe in, Jesus teaches us new things, God can use your story to help others see, and God gives us the strength to keep following Jesus.

Join us on Sundays at 12pm on Zoom.

June Series: Back to the Future!

Whether it’s to stop yourself from saying something stupid, or see where you’ll be in 10 years, or experience your favorite moment in history firsthand, we all wish we had a time machine sometimes, right? While time machines might not actually exist, the Bible can sometimes feel a little bit like a time machine. It’s the story of the God who exists outside of time and had a plan to save the world before time even existed. God's plan was fulfilled through Jesus 2,000 years ago, but prophets like Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Amos left us hints about God’s plan hundreds of years before that. So what was that plan?

In this 4-week series, we'll discover that Jesus’ mission was to set people free and rebuild what has been destroyed — and we can join Him on that mission, in part, by doing justice and remembering all God has done.

Join us on Sundays in May at 12pm on Zoom.

May Series: Anthem

When you hear the word "worship," you might think of a church building, a choir, your favorite worship song, or maybe a special tradition. Worship takes a lot of forms, but sometimes we make the mistake of thinking worship is something it's not — or, at least, something much smaller than what it really is. You can worship through song and meaningful traditions, but when's the last time you worshiped by going outside? Or cleaning up your neighborhood? Or making a friend? Or telling God you're angry?

In this 4-week series, we'll explore the book of Psalms (worship songs to God) as we discover that worship might be bigger than we ever imagined. Maybe worship isn't just an anthem we sing, but an anthem we live, by worshiping with all of creation, worshiping to remember what God has done, worshiping even when it’s difficult, and worshiping together because we’re God’s family.

.Join us on Sundays in May at 12pm on Zoom.

April Series: Waitlisted

You know that feeling you get when someone makes you a big promise? You probably feel excited, but you might feel a little skeptical too — especially when that promise gets delayed . . . and delayed again . . .and again. If you have to wait long enough for something you were promised, you might start to wonder when you've waited long enough. Eventually, you might even give up hope.

In this series, we'll meet a handful of people from Scripture who each spent a long time waiting on God. From the stories of Abraham and Sarah, Paul and Silas, King David, and Joseph, we'll discover that God has a plan, but we might have to wait for it, and we'll be reminded that, while we're waiting, God is faithful, God is listening, and we should never give up, because God’s not giving up on us.

.Join us on Sundays in April at 12pm on Zoom.

Easter Message: Forever

Whether it's Instagram, YouTube, TV, or movies, we are constantly surrounded by "influencers." But in reality, we are all influencers because we all influence others in some way, whether we mean to or not. We're all already influencers, but the question is, "What kind of influencers will we be?" In this 4-week series, we'll learn from a few key influencers in the Bible about what real influencers are like.

February Series: Choose Your Own Adventure!

Whether it's a journey to Mordor, The Upside Down, outer space, or wherever Forky ran off to this time, we all love a great adventure story. Maybe that's because, deep down, we know we're designed to live an adventure story of our own — and with Jesus, we can. There is no greater adventure than the journey of knowing God more deeply, so in this 4-week series, we'll talk about for ways we can do that: by spending time with God, spending time with others, sharing our stories, and using our gifts to serve others.

Comfort Cases Donation Drive

Did you know that foster care kids often move from home to home with their personal belongings in a trash bag? It is heartbreaking and traumatizing. Pastor Shala’s husband was in foster care as a teenager, aging out of the system, and could testify that this is true. Comfort Cases, a nonprofit in Rockville, is out to bring dignity and hope to youth in foster care. We will be doing a flash donation drive to support this great, local organization by the end of the year.

December Series: Unwrapped

When you think of Christmas, you probably think about an event — an event that is (hopefully) filled with gifts, food, family, and fun. But what happens when that event isn't as joyful or peaceful as we wish it were? And is the "event" even what Christmas is about anyway? In this series for December, we'll discover what this season is truly about. It's about getting ready to receive God's gift of Jesus, sharing that gift with others, rejoicing in the surprising gifts God gives us, and taking time to enjoy God's presence.

Join us for our November youth night! We’ll be going to Adventure Park at Sandy Springs for ziplining. We have 20 tickets for the ziplining obstacle course in the trees! Students who do not wish to zipline can hang out at our private fire pit. When you RSVP, indicate if you wish to zip line. Our group, including all adults, has a 35 person limit.

We have a few staggered times for instructions to allow people to enter the course spaced out. The first group will receive instruction at 6:50pm. The park closes at 10pm.

Each person who zip lines must complete the park waiver online.

Due to Covid-19, each zip liner should bring their own grip gloves as the park will not provide them so safety.

We can’t wait to see you all on Saturday, November 14!

Youth + Family Service Day

For every month that has a 5th Sunday, we want our youth to engage in serving others instead of having our traditional youth worship experience. As we prepare to start the school year, we want our youth to be reminded that though the school year won't look like it usually does, we should be grateful for the many blessings we do have in this season.
